Hello GoFundMe community,

On Friday evening, November 7th, there was a fire in Olympia Place in Amherst, Massachusetts. Many UMass students were left without any place to stay and with only their clothes on their backs.

One of our close friends, Tyler Callahan, a Computer Science student at UMass Amherst (Class of 2027), was amongst the roughly more than 200 students who lived in Olympia Place and had all of their belongings vanish and burn in the fire.

Tyler unfortunately lost all of his belongings, including clothes, food, schoolbooks, and school devices such as his MacBook. Right now, he is struggling to find the ability and resources to rebuild and recover the items and belongings he lost during the fire.

As a friend, I decided to open up this GoFundMe page so that we can help Tyler purchase necessary clothes, foodstuffs, and electronics so he can properly get on his feet and move past the incident, and be able to finish the rest of the year strong!

Thank you everyone for your attention, and prayers to everyone who lost their belongings in the Olympia Place fire.
