Help Support Tyler's Fight Against Kidney Disease

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for help for my son, Tyler. He has been fighting kidney disease since his teenage years. His disease has gotten progressively worse over the last few years. Being unable to work steadily for several months due to multiple hospitalizations and mounting health challenges, the medical bills and daily expenses are piling up fast. Living alone and still rebuilding from weather related damages in Florida, the recovery has been overwhelming.

Recently undergoing a nephrostomy procedure and several nights of hospital stays, his health is suffering. The Nephrologists have determined that his left kidney is non-functioning, complete kidney failure as it is only calcified tissue and will have to be removed. Once the risk of infection has passed and he and the right kidney are strong enough, removal of one kidney will be scheduled. These procedures have been necessary to reduce the risk of his being on daily dialysis. The doctors are hoping to keep the right kidney in good health and reduce the possibility of Tyler being placed on a transplant list.

Tyler has always been a hardworking, independent person and the type of person to help someone in need whenever possible, but now he needs our support. We’re raising funds to help cover his medical care, transportation to appointments, and basic living expenses so he can focus on building his strength and healing.
