Support for Tyler & Raegan

*****update July 13, 2022******

2 weeks ago Tyler was hospitalized due to a blockage in his stomach. After many tests, surgeons and doctors reviewing his case, Tyler’s medical team came to the conclusion that the cancer has gotten too big too fast, and the disease has taken over. It’s now time for Tyler, Raegan and their families to spend as much time together as possible and focus on his quality of life, keeping him comfortable and make sure he’s surrounded by so much love and support. All of the funds raised will go towards ensuring there is no financial stress on him and his family during this time. Tyler, Raegan and families are forever grateful for the support they’ve received and continue to receive since his diagnosis and beyond. It hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Hi, my name is Shelayne Balcaen and I’m hoping to raise funds to help my dear friends Tyler Francis (28) and Raegan McLean (25) throughout this extremely difficult and unexpected journey they’re now going through.

In early summer of this year Tyler was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and very quickly began his chemotherapy journey. Raegan is a full time student at Brandon University in the Psychiatric Nursing program travelling back and forth on weekends to spend time with Tyler at home in Winnipeg. With having to be off work he currently has a greatly reduced income, and Raegan being in school full time; of course life’s continued expenses unfortunately do not stop. I am hoping to raise funds to help ease the financial burden this new journey has thrown at them in hopes to take some stress away from an already extremely stressful situation. They are not the type to ask for help, but I believe if a community can come together it will bring some light to a very dark time in their lives.
