My uncle, Tyler Jones, was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with ischemic heart disease with severe left ventricular systolic dysfunction. Him being 39 years old, this came as a shock to us. For years, he thought his symptoms were from asthma — but now we know it was his heart had been failing for awhile.

Tyler is more than just family — he’s a beam of light to everyone who knows him. He’s the kind of person who can make anyone laugh, no matter what they’re going through. His optimism, warmth, and humor are infectious.

He’s also the heart behind Dark Nectar, a local coffee shop and music venue that’s become a safe space and creative hub in our community. But right now, Tyler is facing the biggest challenge of his life. He needs help covering the cost of urgent medical treatment, ongoing care, and financial support while he focuses on healing — and keeping his business alive.
