On Friday, April 25, my husband was involved in a motorcycle accident. I was 2 cars away from my husband when he went down, and both children were in my vehicle at the time of the accident.

Tyler and I have married nine years come August. Tyler is the primary provider for his, which includes Briana and their sons, ages 14 and 7, as well as Tyler’s mother.

Tyler’s injuries include a broken pelvis, a compound fracture of his right arm, internal bleeding, 5 broken ribs, a brain bleed, contusions on his lungs and the doctors have discovered a very rare degenerative bone disease which may inhibit/prolong his recovery. He has undergone 2 surgeries and a several more to go. He is facing a long road to recover, which includes six weeks in ICU followed by a long stay in rehabilitation. At this time, it looks like he will not be home for about possibly 3 months, and he will continue rehab and therapy from home.

We all know how quickly life can change, and in today’s economic climate it’s nearly impossible to be fully prepared for such a disaster. Any contributions will be helpful to reach our goal.
