"Home-Churned" – A Heartfelt Connecticut-based Film

I’m Tyler Gorman, and I’m beyond excited to share my latest project with you, "Home-Churned." This is a story that’s really close to my heart—a coming-of-age film about family, dreams, and the tough choices we sometimes have to make.

The film follows Alex, a teen who inherits their late mom’s struggling ice cream shop. With college acceptance letters in hand, they’re caught between keeping the family business alive or pursuing their own dreams. It’s a deeply personal journey that speaks to anyone who’s ever felt torn between responsibility and following their heart.

What makes this even more special is that we’re looking to bring it all to life right here in Connecticut, with an all-local cast and crew. I’m so proud to be able to highlight the incredible talent and community spirit that our state has to offer.

I'm reaching out to you because I need your help to make this film a reality. Your support will go directly towards hiring local talent, securing locations, renting equipment, and all the other little things that go into bringing a movie to life. Whether you’re able to donate or simply share this campaign, every bit helps!

Thank you for believing in independent films, in Connecticut talent, and in "Home-Churned." With your help, we can tell this heartfelt story and make something truly special together.

Meet the Director – Tyler Gorman

Hey there! I’m a filmmaker originally from Enfield, Connecticut (now Northford, CT), and I’m really excited to share my latest project with you, "Home-Churned." My passion has always been telling stories that make people think and feel, and I love diving deep into character-driven narratives. I recently finished my film "Ephemera," which is on its way through film festivals right now!

Growing up in a close-knit community, I’ve always believed in the power of support—especially when someone is going through a tough time. "Home-Churned" is a reflection of that belief. It’s a story about family, community, and the tough decisions we all face, and I feel a deep personal connection to it. I’ve always felt that when someone’s struggling, the people around them should come together, and that’s exactly the heart of this film.

This film is really special to me because it’s my thesis project, and I’m determined to shine a light on the amazing talent we have right here in Connecticut. My goal is to submit "Home-Churned" to festivals and share both the story and our local talent with a wider audience.

I’d be so grateful for your support in helping us bring this film to life. Every little bit helps us take this project one step closer to the screen, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
