YWAM Discipleship Training Program

Dear Family & Friends,

Some of you know my story, but I want to share what God has been doing in my life.

When I lived in New York, church was just a normal part of life. I loved it. But when we moved to Georgia when I was 7, I never found that same connection. Then COVID hit. Churches shut down, and honestly, I did not even want to try the whole Zoom church thing. I spent a lot of time online, and little by little I started to believe the lies I saw that God was not real and that nothing really mattered. Ilost my morals and searched for worth in money, popularity, talking to girls, and other attention-seeking behaviors. I even thought mocking God was funny. But deep down, I was empty.

In 2022, my teacher invited me to Young Life camp. She said she saw “leadership” and “potential” in me, which surprised me because at the time, I saw myself as anything but a role model. Still, I decided to take her up on the invite and attend the camp. I can honestly say I felt God’s presence

there. But I ignored it and acted out, testing limits and trying to make my friends laugh until my behavior crossed the line and I was told I could never come back to the camp.

About a year later, I experienced a series of setbacks such as missed opportunities, strained friendships, and feeling stuck in life. I thought maybe I should turn to Jesus for “protection,

” but it felt hypocritical to run back to God only when I was in trouble. So I pushed the thought aside and

continued to “do Tyler.”

Then one day, while at McDonald’s, a worker I did not even know walked up and asked if I believed in God. I told him,“No.” He said God told him to talk to me. He prophesied, telling me I was creative, that God wanted me back, and that the devil would keep putting “flashy” things in front of me to make me think I had value, but that my real worth was in Jesus. That night, I prayed. The next Sunday, I went to church with a friend, and for the first time since moving to Georgia, I felt at “home” again.

A few months later, I walked up to the altar and gave my life to Christ. I went back to that teacher to apologize for how I acted and share this news with her. Afterward, I started volunteering with Young Life. I made up my mind to get baptized. But here’s the part only God could orchestrate. On the very

day I was scheduled to get baptized, while sitting in church, I received a call from the same Young Life camp that told me I could not come back, inviting me to serve as a Team Leader. This was

confirmation that I was walking into the calling God had placed on my life.

I was baptized on June 1, 2025. And since then, I have served at five different Young Life camps,

spreading the Gospel and helping other young people find hope in Jesus.

Now God is calling me to something greater. I have been accepted into YWAM (Youth With A Mission), a 6-month discipleship training school. The first 3 months will be in Nashville, learning how to share the Gospel with people from all cultures. The next 3 months will be overseas, doing mission

work. The cost is $11,000, which covers tuition, housing, flights, food, and materials. I am asking for your prayers and, if you feel led, your financial support to help me answer this call.
