Help Tyler Fight Synovial Sarcoma, An Aggressive Rare Cancer
Spende geschützt
Hi, my name is Darlene and I’m reaching out to share the story of my 30-year-old nephew, Tyler. He’s the kind of person who lights up the room with his warmth, smile, and selflessness. He’s a devoted husband to Jade and a hands-on father to their two young daughters, Aria (4) and Blake (1). Tyler’s family is his whole world, and he works hard to provide a loving, stable life for them. Whether it’s reading bedtime stories, playing tea party, or making his girls laugh, Tyler is the kind of dad who shows up for his family every day. Now, Tyler needs our help to ensure he has many more moments to share with his family.
Tyler is battling Synovial Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. His journey began on November 26, when a painful lump on his foot brought him to urgent care. After weeks of tests, including a CT scan, MRI, and biopsy, his diagnosis was confirmed just before Christmas.
Tyler’s medical treatment plan includes:
• Three days of 24-hour in-hospital chemotherapy (Doxorubicin)
• 10 days of radiation therapy
• A 6-to-8-week recovery period, followed by surgery
The primary goals are:
1. Shrinking the tumor to allow for clear margins during surgery. This is especially difficult with a tumor in the foot, and without clear margins, under-knee amputation may be necessary. There are also critical tendons and nerves that are involved. Shrinkage before surgery decreases the risk of lifetime complications and possibly future reconstructive surgeries.
2. Eliminating microscopic cancer cells to reduce the high risk of metastasis and a possible terminal diagnosis.
In addition to traditional treatments, Tyler is pursuing integrative therapies to support these goals, including:
• Hyperbaric Chamber (oxygen therapy)
• Hyperthermia (heat) therapy
• Photodynamic (PDT) light therapy in Port Moody, B.C. (requiring a 6-day stay)
• High-dose vitamin C and mistletoe IV treatments
• Targeted supplements to combat cancer stem cells and shrink the tumor
These therapies will also boost the effectiveness of the chemo and radiation, promote faster healing, and boost his immune system. All key elements in his recovery.
These therapies are not covered by healthcare and cost $200–$500 per session, with multiple sessions each week. Total expenses for treatments leading up to surgery in April are estimated at $30,000. While it’s a significant amount, these therapies combined give Tyler the best chance for successful surgery and long-term recovery.
We want Tyler and Jade to focus on what matters most—his health and their family—without the added burden of financial stress. That’s why we’re asking for your help. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Tyler’s treatment expenses.
Your donation is more than just financial support—it’s a message of hope, love, and encouragement for someone who has always given so much to others. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Tyler’s story with others who might be able to help would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with Tyler in this fight. Your kindness and generosity mean everything to him, his family, and all of us who love him. Together, we can give Tyler the best chance at recovery.
