Hi, we're Tyler and Ericson! and as of this week, we are officially husbands and husbands! ‍❤️‍

We got engaged in January 2025, and just this week, we made it official by signing our marriage license. There was no wedding, no celebration, no fancy reception, just the two of us taking a quiet but meaningful step forward in our lives together.

Instead of planning a big wedding (and probably going into debt for it), we made a conscious decision to skip the ceremony and put that energy toward something even more important to us: starting our family.

Why We're Fundraising

We’ve both known for a long time that we want to become parents. We’re surrounded by a big, loud, loving Filipino family, and lots of nieces and nephews, so family has always been at the center of our lives. Parenthood isn’t just a hope for us, it’s a shared dream. We both deeply, wholeheartedly want to be fathers.

As a gay couple, the journey to becoming parents through fertility treatment and surrogacy is beautiful, but also incredibly expensive.

We’ve done a lot of research, and the costs are overwhelming.

Before we can even begin choosing an agency or talking to professionals, we need to understand what we can realistically afford and that means starting the process of fundraising now.

For years, we’ve witnessed countless stories of people helping each other through some of life’s most personal and powerful moments. It’s been inspiring to see how compassion and generosity can truly change lives.

Now, we find ourselves on the other side, asking for help for the first time, and stepping into that same vulnerability we’ve seen so many others face with courage and hope.

Our Story

We met on Hinge after Ericson moved to Irvine. What started as a few messages turned into long conversations, a meaningful connection, and eventually, a life together. Along the way, we’ve grown stronger, working through growing pains, uncomfortable conversations, and all the things that come with building a real, lasting partnership.

This next chapter, starting our family, is the most meaningful one yet. It won’t be easy, and it won’t be fast. But we are ready, we are committed, and we are hopeful.
