Help Tyler Byrd and Family After His Accident

Hi, my name is Valerie and this GoFundMe is for my best friend, Gail and her family. Some of you may have heard that my best friend's son, Tyler Byrd was in a side-by-side accident on the 23rd of December, but what you may not realize is that Tyler is still hospitalized. In the early morning hours of December 23rd, Gail and Bill received the phone call no parent wants to receive. Their son had been involved in a serious accident and was being life-flighted. Gail and Bill raced to the Lakeland Regional Trauma Center. Tyler suffered extensive internal injuries.

In the two months that Tyler has been hospitalized he has undergone multiple surgeries and procedures. At times, it seems as if he makes a step forward, only to make two steps back. Currently, he his fighting off an infection with the hope of not having to have an additional surgery. When he is finally released from the hospital, he will have to go to an inpatient rehab.

This accident has not only affected Tyler, but the whole family. Tyler has clearly not been working, but neither has Gail. She has stayed with Tyler this entire time and therefore is also not working. Bill is home with his and Gail's three younger nephews that they took in several years ago. Caitlyn is helping her Dad and cousins out at home as well. This tragic accident has really taken a toll on the whole family. Through it all, they see and count their blessings...Tyler is alive and the worst seems to be behind him.

However, as one can only imagine the expense of being hospitalized for more than 60 days is outrageous.
