Help Tyler Beat Crohn's
Donation protected
We're raising funds for our friend, Tyler Hazelwood, so he can urgently get an advanced stem cell transplant for Crohn's disease, and live a life without illness and pain.
As some of you know, Tyler has suffered from Crohn's for over 20 years. Crohn's is an incredibly painful, debilitating, currently incurable disease that causes inflammation (open wounds) anywhere in the digestive tract from the mouth on down. It causes pain, severe diarrhea, extreme fatigue, weight loss, malnutrition, bleeding, fever, and sometimes fatal complications.
Tyler's case is severe. He lives with pain and symptoms every day. Every day that he parents his daughter Elizabeth, every day he runs his business, he is in pain. Once every two weeks he visits his gastroenterologist for an IV infusion that costs the medical system $5000 per treatment, and doesn't do much to mitigate his symptoms.
The stem cell transplant treatment we are raising funds for is already acknowledged by scientists in the field to be THE most promising treatment for Crohn's disease (see links below).
Stem cell transplant human trial studies are currently being conducted in the US and globally, and are showing incredible results. But there are no trials that Tyler can participate in, and he can't wait any longer. Crohn's has left him debilitated, and he needs to be healthy to be the father he wants to be, and to just live a healthy, pain-free life.
The stem cell transplant treatment is being offered at cost at a leading clinic in Panama, and all funds raised will go to sending Tyler to this clinic for treatment.
Tyler doesn't like asking for help like this, so we are doing it for him. He plans to use his experience to start a foundation to help other people who suffer from Crohn's--especially those who are disadvantaged--access stem cell transplant treatment.
You are part of Tyler's community of support. Thank you so much for donating what you can to help Tyler heal from Crohn's and live a life without pain and illness.
In thanks for your donation, Tyler's dear friend, Todd Scott of OR Motorcycle Factory, is holding a draw (totally separate from this GoFundMe campaign) for a Harley Davidson motorcycle and other donated prizes. Every person who donates to help Tyler will be entered into the draw. (No donation is needed to enter, but you will be automatically entered if you do.)
Thank you so much for your love and support of Tyler. Together we can do this!
