On January 27th, my life changed in an instant. I was walking across the street when I was struck by a car—not once, but twice. The driver left me for dead, but thanks to the kindness of strangers who blocked traffic and called 911, I was rushed to the hospital. I spent two days in a coma and underwent emergency surgery. My injuries included a broken pelvis, fractured tailbone, fractured right leg, a severe concussion, and multiple hematomas that required another surgery just last week.
As a 27-year-old woman who works in healthcare, I’ve always been the one caring for others. I’ve never been in the hospital or needed surgery before, and now I’m facing a long road to recovery. I live alone with my two dogs and have no family nearby to help. Without insurance at the time of the accident, I am now facing overwhelming medical bills, and I still need ongoing physical and occupational therapy to regain my independence. My ability to walk and work has been deeply affected, and I am struggling to keep up with rent, utilities, my car note, insurance, and phone bill while I heal.
I am reaching out for help from anyone who can support me during this difficult time. Whether you can donate, share my story, or offer a prayer, I am truly grateful for your kindness. Every bit of support brings me closer to recovery and helps me rebuild my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
