Help Bring Jaime Home & Celebrate His Life
This week, we lost a truly special soul — Jaime, a devoted father, a proud Boricua, and a man whose love for cooking and community touched so many lives. His passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving his family heartbroken and facing a difficult road ahead as they work to bring him home and lay him to rest with dignity and love.
Jaime was more than a father — he was a guiding light, a mentor, and a natural provider. He passed on his passion for food to his children, filling their home (and many others) with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable meals. He believed in feeding people not just with food, but with love, presence, and culture. His spirit was generous, his heart was full, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.
He leaves behind his children (ages 11 to 28), extended family, and a community who knew him as someone who never gave up and never stopped giving — even when he had little himself. He taught his children what it means to be Boricua, to be proud, and to keep family at the center of everything.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• Transportation and arrangements to bring Jaime home
• Funeral and memorial services
• Support for his children as they navigate this unimaginable loss
This fundraiser is being organized by his eldest daughter, who is handling these responsibilities as next of kin. She has shown up for her community in so many ways over the years — now we’re asking for help in showing up for her and her family.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring peace to a grieving family and honors a man who spent his life giving to others. Even if you’re unable to donate, a share can go a long way in helping us reach the people who knew and loved Jaime.
Thank you for taking the time to read, support, and remember a man who meant so much to so many.
