Help Tyanna Complete Her Graduate Program

Hello everyone!

My name is Tyanna Parker-West, and I am raising funds to complete my graduate studies program. I am in the fall semester of my 2nd year of the Public History Program at North Carolina Central University. I am also a wife and mother of three beautiful children. During my time in this program, I have had some wonderful opportunities. This past summer, I got to work at the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources conducting and transcribing oral history interviews. I also got to work on a project called 'Black Chatham' where I captured stories from African American leaders in Chatham County, North Carolina. My master's thesis focuses on uncovering Southeastern North Carolina's Gullah Geechee history. With the spring semester just around the corner, it is time for me to register for my last couple of classes. Right now, I have an outstanding balance of $2700..As a mother and a full-time student, it has been pretty difficult for me financially, as I lost my full-time position back in April of this year. I appreciate any help in reaching my goal so that I can go on to accomplish more and better serve my community.
