Update 5/24/24: I received a phone call from my surgeon, the results from my biopsy/surgery on 5/21/24 have returned a positive diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I will be meeting withh oncologist this upcoming Wednesday to begin treatment.
Original Bio:
Hello, my name is Ty Harper. And I might have Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Over the last 3 months, I've experienced large, uncomfortable swelling in the lymph nodes under my arm and neck. While I initially hoped they would go away with time and multiple rounds of antibiotics, they continued to perist. After getting some imaging and bloodwork done, my oncologist has seen signs that point strongly towards Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
As a result, I will be getting an emergency Left Axial Lymph Node Excision surgery, further biopsies, a pet scan, and chemotherapy if formally diagnosed. I also have already gone through an ultrasound, which confirmed the dangerously large size of my lymph nodes.
The combined costs of these treatments/procedures will be extremely expensive, with me having to pay $3,000 upfront for this first surgery alone. This is why I've made this GoFundMe, to ask both my community and those beyond it to help me through this impending medical debt.
Making this GoFundMe was intimidating, I've seen how support through private texts and social media comments doesn't always translate to a successful GoFundMe. I wasn't sure I could emotionally handle that possible disappointment. But I was convinced by those close to me to make one anyway.
Regardless of it's Hodgkin's or something else, I know I won't do this alone. Thank you guys. I'll be happy to any further questions you may have, you can reach me though here or my email:
