Hello everyone, I’m TY Cherry. Your time is valuable, so I will be as brief as possible. Six weeks ago I learned that as a result of a serious accident in 1984 I suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that has been insidiously impacting my life since that day.

For the past 43 years I’ve always believed my life was normal, the way I felt, thought, and saw others and the world. I thought my struggles—sleepless nights, emotional numbness, relentless anxiety, trouble focusing, and impulsive choices—were just “how life is.” I battled through diagnoses and treatment for PTSD, ADHD, and OCD, trying everything from plant medicines to personal growth programs. They all helped to some degree, but the relief always faded, pulling me back into the same fog. I figured this was just me, my wiring, my reality.

None of this stopped me. I went to school, started businesses, got married (and divorced), and in 2001, 24 years ago, I started EarthCorp Foundation, my nonprofit environmental regeneration enterprise to help the world. I've struggled to build it in the US and three countries, models to help people and planet. My focus has been to fully launch it this year, 2025.

Now, with the discovery of my TBI, I'm even more driven and excited to enact that launch, because I am absolutely certain that when I get the treatments that will help resolve this very old injury, my mind will be working at the peak level I have always known was possible, yet keeps escaping me, only letting me see brief glimpses of my true potential. I know what I am capable of, and I know what EarthCorp is capable of, I just need my full functions to make it happen.
