My name is Andrew, and I am fundraising to help two families in Kyiv, Ukraine, who are struggling to stay afloat amid this horrific war.

 

On February 24th of this year, Anton and his wife, Bogdan and his mother, and their relatives in other parts of Ukraine, woke up to explosions shaking their apartment windows and air raid sirens blaring. After many painful hours and sleepless nights, thanks to their strength, resilience, and some luck, they are still alive. However, they have not been able to work for more than two months now and have relied on the little savings they had to survive while facing skyrocketing prices of food and other basic necessities.

 

While the capital Kyiv is attempting to return to some degree of normalcy now, they will be out of work for the foreseeable future while facing a higher cost of living and repairs to their damaged and destroyed property.

 

I grew up in Kyiv myself and have been fortunate enough to be living in Canada for the last 17 years. For over two months, I have been watching my second home turn to rubble and people close to me suffer. I am asking for your help to get these families back on their feet and give them a small piece of the life they deserve.

 

Your donations will be transferred directly to these two families in great need. They will spend it on food, water, electricity bills, and repairs to their damaged homes. Thank you.
