My industry has been experiencing widespread layoffs the last two years, and I am in between employers right now with few hopeful prospects for immediate employment. This could not have come at a worse time, as I have a ticket for late car registration, my auto insurance provider is raising my rate 50%, and our rent is being hiked this upcoming month. We need a minimum of $3500 to cover next month's rent and the avalanche of fees and bills heading my way (not to mention groceries for two people). Any extra funds will go to future rent and helping us get back on our feet, like replacing the flat tire I've been manually pumping for the last six months.
