Hi, my name is Gavin Gardner, and I have created this GoFundMe Campaign to raise money for my artist friends Sergey and Tanya Markov, and Eugene in war-stricken Ukraine to help cover costs for 2 generators that will keep them warm this winter and keep their workshops open.
This past year, Russia invaded Ukraine. Not long ago, Russia orchestrated an attack and bombed nearly 50% of the nation's power plants in a strategic effort to weaken the country and make the winter month unsurvivable for Ukrainian citizens.
Before the war, Sergey and Tanya both had great jobs in the technology sector and also managed two Etsy stores. This is how we met. Seeing what was happening, I kept buying black Ukrainian bog oak and stockpiled it for future projects. We've supported each other and become friends through Etsy communication.
Eugene is a master knife-maker and runs a business through the instagram page EpsilonForge. He has been supporting his family making beautiful, custom, hand-made knives.

They are incredibly hard-working, good people. The war has dramatically affected their lives forever; even so, they hustle to make ends meet in wartime. As the war drags on, work is harder to come by, and living costs are rising due to the emergency. Keeping their workshops open so they can work is crucial. For this, they need electricity. Generators will keep them going, make the harsh winter bearable, and keep the refrigerator working.
Currently, rolling blackouts are averaging 5-7 hours daily. There is no certainty of when this war will end, and having access to electricity is crucial for survival. Maintaining hope is equally vital. Please donate to the campaign to help ensure their survival during the winter months.
Please help and share this.
