Help Two Transfems Make it to my First Paycheck

Hopefully the last of these I need to do. I'll be starting a temp job in late April that will cover us until we make it to the start of my graduate program in August. Unfortunately that means my first paycheck will be in early May and, although I have managed to make an arrangement for rent to be slightly delayed, we still have bills due in late April plus the fact the job is across town so I'll need to fill my car up twice before I get paid (my current half a tank is going to fall quite a bit short). Being able to reliably get to/from the job until that paycheck arrives is important, obviously. This would ensure both myself and my disabled partner make the jump from incredibly precarious financial situation to relative stability for the foreseeable future.
