My name is Margaret Ennin, and I’m a senior from New York, passionate about educational equity and expanding access to opportunity. This fall, I’ve been fortunate enough to attend either Harvard University or Yale University with full financial support. That opportunity has changed my life.
But right beside me are two of my closest friends, equally hardworking and deserving, who are facing a very different reality.
Both have earned their spots through years of dedication, resilience, and academic excellence, making it possible to attend some of the top 50 universities in the country. However, financially, it doesn’t prove possible as of right now.
Yet before they can even begin their college journeys, they are faced with a barrier that has nothing to do with merit: enrollment deposits totaling nearly $2,000, due by May 1st.
For many students, this is just a formality. For them, it is a real obstacle.
This fundraiser is my way of standing in the gap. Every dollar raised will go directly toward covering their enrollment deposits and easing the financial pressure as they transition into college. My goal is simple: to ensure that finances do not stand in the way of their futures.
Education should open doors, not quietly close them before students even step inside.
If you’re able to give, share, or support in any way, it would mean more than you know. Thank you for helping two incredible young women take the next step toward their dreams.
