I found two street dogs, a husky and a pittie, wandering together in Watts, near 93rd and Main. I first learned about the husky from a post online, which shared that he had lost his family to ICE.

Wanting to help, I went to the neighborhood to find him, and discovered he was not alone, he had become best friends with another stray, a pittie. I posted them both on my tiktok page (tiktok.com/@savethedogs) to help their story get awareness.

Both were searching for food, water, and a safe place to rest. The neighbors have been doing what they can to feed them, but these two have been surviving outdoors, exposed to the elements. With the recent heavy rains in LA, it’s been heartbreaking to see them out in the cold, just trying to make it through each day.

The pittie has now been safely trapped and is staying with a boarder until a wonderful adopter can arrive in LA on March 4th. The pittie still needs to be spayed/neutered and receive medical attention from a vet. The husky is still out there, and we’re hoping to hire additional trappers to help catch the husky as soon as possible, especially since it has a limp and needs urgent medical care. Both dogs have been through so much, and they deserve a chance at a safe, loving home.

There is a potential adopter in North Carolina who is willing to adopt both dogs together.
