My partner, Isaiah, and I were victims of a brutal hate crime in Glendale on April 18th, 2021 at the Glendale Express Hotel while staff and guests stood by and did nothing. We were in Southern California that weekend to look at apartments for when we move in June, which we had already saved up a safety fund for.
Due to the crime, we had to stay in Los Angeles longer than we had anticipated (we were on our way home to Santa Cruz when we were checking out of that hotel) to deal with the aftermath and figure out what was going on. We used the money we had saved for our new place to cover our rent and bills, and both of us suffered a large income loss due to staying longer than expected AND not returning to work due to emotional trauma that we are still dealing with. In addition, we’ve used money from our pockets to cover travel for Isaiah since he’s had to return to LA a few more times for his tooth.
Please support us at this time with helping us recover the finances we lost directly due to the crime. We appreciate all the support, thank you.
