Help 2 Poor Queers (Theresa and Arlo) Stay Housed

Hi Everyone!
We are at risk of being displaced from our home by a predatory for-profit property manager who has a made a career on evicting vulnerable people.
The man doing this has a track record of displacing people all around Echo Park and Silverlake, usually preying on elderly non-English speaking communities. When confronted he denies any wrongdoing and tries to shift blame to tenants.

He and our landlord are currently:
-Withholding a new lease following one roommate's departure
- Stating we are not allowed to move a roommate in to replace her because the property owner doesn't feel "comfortable" moving another roommate in
- Refusing to do necessary critical repairs on the property, some of which we've had to pay out of pocket
- Gaslighting and accusing us of being "uncooperative" and "denying them entry" for an inspection (neither of which are true).
- Made us pay a second application fee to "re-apply" to live on the property despite us having applied before initial move in almost a year ago.
We had a replacement roommate secured for April, but through delays and sabotage from the landlord and property manager, she was unable to move in, leaving us on the hook for the unpaid rent for that room.
We are two queer comics who have fallen on hard times during Covid, like so many others. We grew up poor and do not have financial resources from our families and are taking whatever work comes our way. We have paid up our rent portions but still owe money on the empty room. We are good tenants, have been in contact with Tenants Unions for aid, and are seeking out whatever legal counsel might be necessary. We have secured a roommate who will be moving in for June and onward, but we still owe money for April and May.
The total of this fundraiser is to cover those two months of unpaid rent, as we are at risk of eviction once the Covid protections are lifted in June. They have shown they are not above resorting to illegal methods to try displacing us. If you are unable or don't feel comfortable donating, but have resources you're able to share, we would greatly appreciate that as well. If any money is raised beyond what we need for rent, it will go towards legal fees to fight these people. If that does not end up being necessary, it will be donated to funds in support of Black, POC and queer lives.
Thank you!
P.S. - Please excuse the silly nature of our cover photo. We are comedians who are uncomfortable with vulnerability and asking for help and resort to jokes as a defense mechanism :)
