*This fundraiser is on behalf of Karma Animal Trust, an animal rescue and welfare organization based in the small Indian town of Rishikesh.
Our two rescues, Keenu and Rinki have beautifully recovered from dire circumstances and have been waiting with us for many months for their forever homes. Unfortunately, despite several adoption appeals, NO ONE has come forward to adopt them in India❗
KEENU’S STORY:
Rescued from the roadside in May, 2024, Keenu was skin and bones, covered in open wounds, and had a fractured leg which had become badly infected because she went without help for at least 10 days! We managed to save Keenu and had to amputate her leg in the process. As a tri-pawd, she got no adoption inquiries even though she is such a sweetheart!
RINKI’S STORY:
Dumped outside our clinic in August, 2024, Rinki was extremely malnourished, suffering from the deadly Parvovirus and had sarcoptic mange and fungal infection all over her skin! With intensive care and dedicated medical treatment for the next one month, Rinki bounced back and turned into the happy puppy she was supposed to be! Unfortunately, the trauma left her with some behavioural issues which have been a huge hurdle in finding a home for her.
However, fate has turned for Keenu and Rinki, and they finally have a chance of finding loving homes in Europe! ✨
Our friend, Roxanna who is an experienced adoption coordinator in Belgium has agreed to welcome Keenu and foster her until the right home is found for her.
AND
Our volunteer and friend, Karolin will fly with Rinki to Germany on the 4th of April. She has offered to foster Rinki and work on her behavioural issues, while looking for the perfect match for her.
AND
Our volunteer and friend, Elle-Marie is flying to Europe on 13th of March and is more than happy to take Keenu along with her! ✈️
This is the best and only chance we have for Keenu and Rinki!
The only hurdle in our way is the money needed to make this happen, and we desperately need your support to give a life of safety and love to our two beautiful rescues!
