My name is Hawthorn McFarland, a Tempe, AZ artist and barista, and my partner and I are seeking help with our rent and food for the next month or two months.

My full-time job has paused payments for an injury that occurred at work because of a faulty diagnosis, and to make it all extra heavy, I was struck in a hit-and-run just weeks after finally being taken off work (my employer would not respect explicit medical accommodations). My partner has been looking for practically any work for a long time and now has to take care of me almost full-time, making our situation even more precarious and difficult to navigate.

Your contribution would go directly to the essential needs of two struggling artists who will take the donations into our lives from our friends and fellow humans and invest in not just survival, but resilience. When we make it out of this terrible period, we will be motivated and ready to contribute to the world as only we could.
