Help Twinks Start Over After 20 Years in the U.S.

After 20 years of living and working in the U.S., my dear friend Twinks is being forced to leave the country she’s called home for more than half her life. She came here from Scotland with big dreams, a generous heart, and an incredible work ethic—but due to visa complications, she can no longer stay.

Twinks lost her job when her visa could not be renewed, and she now faces the painful and sudden reality of starting over in the UK with very little. She’s packing up her life while in survival mode—emotionally exhausted, grieving the loss of her home and community, and physically struggling as she recovers from a much-needed knee replacement. She’s currently on crutches and managing chronic health challenges on her own.

This move isn’t a choice—it’s an emergency. And she’s scared.

Twinks has always been the kind of person who shows up for others. Now, she needs us.
