A Tribute to Strength. A Request for Care. A Legacy of Love.
Our dear friend Terry Wilksen has been fighting with extraordinary strength since being diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2023 — an incurable brain cancer that changes life in profound ways. Though the tumor itself remains stable, the effects of radiation, chemotherapy and multiple surgeries have taken a significant toll on her speech, mobility and ability to think clearly. Her condition, known as Treatment Effect, now requires around-the-clock care.
This battle is made even more heartbreaking by the recent loss of her beloved husband, Gil. Married for 57 years, Terry and Gil shared a beautiful life and raised two incredible children, Carrie and Derek. Gil passed away in May, leaving a deep void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.
Now, Terry faces each day with resilience — but she can’t do it alone.
Why We’re Reaching Out
Terry’s care needs have grown immensely. This campaign is being created by those who love her dearly, to help offset the mounting costs of:
♥ 24/7 in-home caregiving
♥ Medical treatments and various therapies
♥ Travel to appointments and treatment centers
♥ Meals, supplies, and mobility assistance
Every dollar raised will help keep Terry in the comfort and familiarity of her home — the one she shared with Gil for over 30 years.
How You Can Help
Whether it's $5 or $100, your gift goes directly toward making Terry’s days a little easier and her care a little more secure. If you can’t donate, sharing this page or sending a memory-filled card can make just as big a difference.
Your support honors not just Terry's fight, but the lifelong love between her and Gil — and the legacy they built together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
With love, from all who hold Terry close
