Tux’s journey began in a heartbreaking way—kept in a small cage and abandoned on the side of the road. When Sarah and Glenn, known for their love and rescue of animals, learned about Tux, it was no surprise that Sarah opened her heart and home to him. She wanted to give Tux the loving life he never had.

After some time, Sarah noticed Tux was struggling with one of his hind legs. A visit to the vet revealed that, because of the neglect he suffered as a growing pup, Tux would need bilateral leg surgeries to correct the damage. The cost of these surgeries and the rehabilitation that follows is significant, and while Sarah is always the first to help others, she hesitated to ask for help herself. Balancing nursing school, caring for her child, and working extra shifts, Sarah still puts Tux’s needs first.

This fundraiser is a chance for all of us to give back to someone who gives so much.
