In December of 2021, I took over Tuscan Market. Meeting everyone and learning the business was exhilarating, but just three weeks later, I had to leave for Florida to support my mom through a life-changing surgery. Her diagnosis was terminal, but treatments have given us more time together, even if life has changed for all of us. Since then, I’ve divided my time between Florida and here, always working remotely to keep Tuscan Market running while my incredible staff—Paul, Meghan, and Mark and the rest—managed the day-to-day. Their dedication has allowed me to be with my mom when she needs me most, and I’m deeply grateful for their support.

Balancing these priorities hasn’t been easy. In our fourth year, as the economy shifted, Tuscan Market was hit with rising costs and declining sales. I always hoped things would turn around, but we’ve had more tough days than good ones. Recently, we lost our license while trying to gather funds for taxes and the license renewal. December was especially hard, and our rent has increased dramatically due to local property taxes. Right now, our top priorities are paying the taxes and license fees, then catching up on rent and vendor payments. I’ve always put my staff first, and while I don’t regret it, it’s brought us to this difficult place.

We need help. Please come in and buy our appetizers, pizzas, and cake. Respect the BYO until we get the license back. Use our online system for takeout and delivery.
