Help Alexis Answer A Call To Courage

Alexis is an 18 yr old Cambrian College student who graduated from Sudbury Secondary School in 2016. Alexis has lived independently since she was 16 years of age. Alexis navigated the social welfare system for financial support and graduated from high school despite a multitude of social, emotional and financial challenges faced by a teenager in her young life. Alexis has a passion for helping others and thus is pursuing her dream of becoming a child and youth worker - to help other youth. On March 2 2017 Alexis received a devastating medical diagnosis of Craniofacial fibrous dysplasia. She has a tumourous growth in her skullbase that is impairing her pituitary gland function as well as optic nerve. Alexis needs financial assistance to meet living and medical expenses. She has had to medically withdraw from her college program and is preparing for numerous medical tests and eventual surgery. Your support would help her seek the specialized medical services she needs and to cover the travel expenses she will incur.
