Help Turkish strays find loving homes in the Netherlands

AdoptNL is established as a Stichting with KvK number 87553287 in the Netherlands with the aim of rescuing stray animals in Turkey and rehoming them in the Netherlands. Since its establishment in 2021, AdoptNL successfully placed a total of 130 cats and dogs in their forever homes.

By mid 2023, AdoptNL stopped accepting animals due to overcapacity and that there were "harder" to rehome dogs which were always pushed back in line and spend their years in kennels waiting to be the focus of attention. At the beginning of July, AdoptNL has placed last of its "easier" to rehome dogs

Now it is their turn for our 4 harder to be rehomed dogs to get all the attention. We are also excited to be starting a new page as we will be accepting new dogs to be rehomed in the Netherlands soon.

AdoptNL started its operations with the investment from its founders and volunteers for the expenses of the first few dogs and each adoption fee was then spent on the next animals expenses. However, overcapacity meant that the dogs stayed longer than expected and our funds have been depleted in the process.

Now that the Turkish government enacted a bill that would mean the culling of all stray dogs and potentially cats, we are now in a greater hurry to find ways to get these harder to rehome dogs ready for adoption so that more dogs can be pulled from the streets and the dark fate that is waiting for them.

We may not be able to rescue all, but we will keep trying and although we can't save them all, we can change the world for the ones that are saved. That is only possible with your support!
