Help 13 Girls Take On The World!

Tunkhannock Little League Softball will be traveling to Portland, Oregon to represent the EAST and play in the Little League Softball World Series!! Tunkhannock, representing the state of Pennsylvania, was the LAST undefeated team at the Eastern Regionals in Bristol, CT. They defeated Rhode Island 2-1 in extra innings in the championship game.
The last time Pennsylvania won the Eastern Regional was in 2009! And this is the FIRST time Tunkhannock EVER won an Eastern Regional to play in the Little League Softball World Series!
Our goal is to raise enough money so that each of the 13 families can receive $4,000 towards travel, lodging, food, and car rentals.
Tunkhannock will be in Pool A at the World Series and grouped with the Europe Africa champion (Northwest Czech Republic), the US West champion (Kirkland, Wash.), the US Southeast champion and the Canadian champion. The last two champs haven’t been decided yet.
Tunkhannock’s pool-play schedule in Portland will be: Canada, 1 p.m., Aug. 8; Europe Africa 10 p.m., Aug. 9; US Southeast, 7 p.m., Aug. 10; and US West, noon, Aug. 11. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Now we are asking for help from our larger village- friends, family, businesses and residents of Wyoming County, along with fans of girls’ youth sports and hometown Tiger Pride. Little League International provides dorm rooms for players and coaches. We are seeking donations to help team families with travel costs to Portland to cheer their daughters on to victory while the world watches.
Having just spent two weeks between Caln Township, PA and Bristol, CT, battling to win the State and Regional Championships -- another long trip out of town less than one week later is straining on families. Donations made to this campaign will be pooled together to provide assistance for player family flights, lodging, rental cars, and meals. Please help our local families make the trip to the World Series so that they can be there as their daughters have the experience of a lifetime!

Who am I?: Katie Wisnosky - my daughter, Cali, is the catcher on the team. My husband, Jason, is one of the coaches. I am a teacher for Tunkhannock Area and am in charge of fundraising.
Where am I from?: Tunkhannock, PA
How am I connected to the team?: I'm a team mom. :) My husband and daughter have been involved with Tunkhannock Little League since she was five years old.
How will the funds be used?: The money is deposited into the Little League Softball account and divided 13 ways to support flights, hotels, rental cars, and food expenses while we are in Portland, OR playing in the Softball World Series representing the EAST.
