“The memory of the righteous is blessed." - Proverbs 10:7
Our hearts are broken as we share that Tunde Adeniran unexpectedly collapsed at his London home on April 14, 2025, while preparing for work. Despite efforts to revive him, he passed away suddenly, leaving behind his beloved wife Nike and their three children (ages 15, 13, and 10). He also leaves behind countless relatives spread across the UK, US, and Nigeria, the world, and many friends who love and will miss him very much.
Tunde's life exemplified generosity, faith in JESUS, and devotion to his loving family near and far. Born in London in 1967, he moved to Nigeria with his family as a child, and returned to London as a young man to pursue architecture. After his father's sudden passing, Tunde paused his own education to work full-time to support his mother and two younger brothers in Nigeria. His unwavering faith in Christ guided him through these challenging years.
Despite facing hardships—including working without pay for two years as an apprentice at an architectural firm—Tunde never complained, maintaining his characteristic smile and quiet confidence. He was confident that Jesus would take good care of him, and He did.
When Tunde finally obtained his architectural degree at age 30, his older sister, Bunmi Peters, and her family were there to celebrate with him. He remained close to them throughout his life, often hosting Bunmi’s children in London for weeks and months at a time, and traveling to California to spend Christmas with them. Tunde married the love of his life, Nike, in 2009. He met her in his home at a Bible study he hosted on Sunday evenings. They made a happy home in East London where they were raising their three precious children together. He remained very close to his older sister and her family throughout his life, and they continued to spend many Christmases together in London.
Tunde’s generous spirit also led him to donate financial support for people worldwide, including for those in prison. His home was always open to family and friends. His loved ones will remember his loving, cool, calm demeanor, generosity, witty sense of humor, humility, love of travel, his manner of speech, love of photography, frequent and heartfelt texts, and utter love and devotion to his family and Lord, JESUS Christ.
How Your Support Will Help
This fundraiser, organized by his niece, Ope Peters, and Tunde’s U.S.-based extended family, will assist with:
- Funeral expenses
- Daily living costs for Nike and their children
- Completing their home renovation project that was underway when Tunde passed
Any funds raised beyond our goal will be placed in tax-free junior individual savings accounts for each of his three children to support their education and future needs.
While we grieve this tremendous loss, we find comfort knowing that Tunde's legacy of faith, generosity, and love continues through the lives he touched. We do not grieve as those who have no hope, because we know that we will see our brother again in heaven soon.
Thank you for supporting the Adeniran family during this unexpected and challenging time. Your prayers, thoughts, and contributions mean more than words can express.
