Help Tuna Beat Cancer: Support Peter's Pup
Donation protected
If you've rafted, kayaked, or have brought your winter gear to get worked on, there's a chance you've met Peter and Kaituna. Peter has been part of the whitewater community for nearly 2 decades and has provided all kinds of stoke to the lives that he's touched. If you've met Peter, there's a 98% chance you've also met Tuna.
Tuna is one of the sweetest bullies (the dog breed, not crappy people) you'll meet. For a while, you'd be able to catch Tuna hanging out with the other raft guides & dogs at River Drifters while Peter is leading a crew or taking a group of passengers down the White Salmon. If you've taken your ski and snowboard gear into Doug's Hood River to get revitalized, you've likely run into Mr. Tuna supervising the customers and the rental fittings to make sure things are mellow.
It's difficult to run into Peter and not say hi to Tuna... these two are inseparable!
Problem: Tuna was just diagnosed with cancer. I don't know exactly what he's got, but Peter just took the Toons into the vet for a biopsy. Unfortunately, this visit confirmed that Tuna is dealing with cancer, but we won't know to what degree until he can get into surgery to remove the tumors and search for what else is growing. It won't be until after this surgery before we know what, if, treatment is possible.
The ASK: Tuna is heading in for that surgery... doctors are expensive. Help me raise the funds, please. This upcoming surgery is going to be at least $3k. There's a target for $4k, with a goal for $10K. Funds will be used to support Tuna and Peter through these trying times...
