Help Tulum Dogs Sterilization Campaigns

WOOHOO WE DID IT! YOU FOLKS ARE AMAZING!

We were able to reach almost 50% of our goal (I have lowered it to reflect a very generous donation outside of the GFM)!

One more month to reach the remaining amount we need to make this happen -- THE FIRST EVER STERILIZATION CAMPAIGN IN OUR SANCTURARY COMMUNITY!

Hey everyone!

Now that our Sanctuary is finally completed (thank you SO much for helping us reach that milestone!), we’re ready to return to our core mission: spay and neuter campaigns that save lives and reduce suffering.

Our first goal is to sterilize 80 dogs in our new community—a gesture of gratitude for the warm welcome we’ve received and a critical step in preventing unwanted litters. Many local families simply don’t have access or financial means to sterilize their pets, and as in so many places, puppies are born only to suffer or die. We want to stop that cycle—with compassion, education, and action.

We’re aiming for the second week of October, and families with new puppies are already anxiously awaiting the campaign!

Next, we plan to return to Tulum, where our rescue journey began. Our goal is to sterilize another 80 dogs there, ideally in December (our vet teams are already fully booked for October and November).

Here’s the hard truth: fundraising is tough. It's humbling to constantly ask for help—but it’s the only way we can continue this work. We are a 501(c)(3) IRS-recognized nonprofit, so all donations are tax-deductible and eligible for corporate matching gifts or grants—please check with your employer!

How GoFundMe works for us:

They collect donations for our charity and pay them out monthly. There's a cutoff on the 15th of each month, with funds arriving on the 25th. That gives us two donation windows to fund the first campaign:

August 16 through September 15

Then we’ll have another two months to raise funds for the Tulum campaign. Every dollar counts—and every donation makes a lasting difference.
