Warm greetings!

 

At 2 AM on the 2nd February 2022, the Tulu family woke up to a devastating fire that engulfed and ultimately destroyed their house in Mekanissa and all their belongings (see photos and video attached).

With the grace of God, none of the family were hurt. Gash Tulu Feyessa and Wro. Tsige Woldegiorgis were at a house they rented in the nearby vicinity for a short period until the construction of new structures is completed. There are no words to describe the heartache and overwhelming sense of loss that comes with this tragedy.

 

The Tulu family has been and still is a pillar of community life in Mekanissa and more importantly have, since 1970s, opened their doors for bible study, Christian fellowship, support. Most children and youth who grew in our neighborhood called Tulu family’s their family, through them, have seen Christian values in life and touched by their love and acts of generosity. This has left fond memories in most of us.

Now is the moment for us all to show we are here for the Tulu family. And lend a hand to help them get through this together.
