Supporting Tommy & Andy after the loss of their Dad

Hello everyone,
With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our Uncle Tuk at the age of 60.
On Tuesday, June 24th, Uncle Tuk unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest. His youngest son, Andy, found him unresponsive, immediately performed CPR, and called 911. First responders also performed CPR and were able to revive Tuk before rushing him to Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. Upon arrival, Tuk went into a second cardiac arrest. Doctors and nurses fought to stabilize him but discovered that his organs were quickly beginning to shut down.
As preparations were being made to airlift him, the family was informed that his chances of survival were very low. Tuk was flown to Jefferson Abington Hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU, placed on a ventilator, and remained in critical condition.
In the following days, Tuk remained unconscious. We learned he had also suffered a GI bleed. By June 25th, his kidneys had failed, and he required emergency dialysis. The next day, June 26th, doctors confirmed that his liver had also failed, and dialysis was no longer helping. That evening, the family was encouraged to say their final goodbyes, as his condition continued to worsen.
On Friday, June 27th, at 5:00 AM, Tuk passed away peacefully on his own.
While Tuk’s funeral was held on Saturday, July 12th, we — Mary, Diana, and David, his nieces and nephew — are creating this GoFundMe on behalf of his two sons, Tommy and Andy, to help support them during this incredibly difficult time.
Tommy (21) is entering his senior year at Temple University, where he is paying for tuition and rent on his own through a summer internship. Andy (17) is about to begin his senior year at North Penn High School and is working a summer job to cover his driving lessons. Their father, Tuk, was the sole provider and primary parent for the family, and his sudden passing has left a tremendous emotional and financial burden on both boys.
In addition to education and living expenses, the family is also facing significant medical bills from Tuk’s unexpected hospitalization and intensive care. Every contribution will help ease the weight of these costs and allow Tommy and Andy to continue moving forward in their father’s honor.
We understand that times are hard for many, but if you are able to help — whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or simply leaving a message of support — it would mean the world to us and to Tuk’s family. No gesture is too small, and every bit of kindness is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for keeping Tommy and Andy in your thoughts.
