Hi everyone, I’m starting this fundraiser for my friend Abbey and her sweet pup, Tug - rescued from @K9advocacy

Last night on a walk, Tug was hit by a car. His leash clip broke, he went to run across the street, the driver slammed on his brakes, but Tug had already been hit, went under the car, and skidded across the street.

He was taken to Pembina Veterinary Hospital where he’s had chest and hip X-rays, hydrotherapy, a full leg splint, sedatives, and is now on three different medications. When the vets went to bandage him, they discovered his tendon was completely torn. Tug will need specialized surgery once his injuries have healed enough, and the cost is a minimum of $6,000, not including ongoing visits every couple of days for cleaning and rebandaging.

Tug is loved more than anything, and he is the sweetest, most loving dog. He still has so much life ahead of him, but this surgery is the only way to give him the chance to heal fully.
