Support Tucker’s Surgery Costs
Donation protected
On Sunday, February 16th, my beloved dachshund, Tucker, suffered a serious accident that fractured his femur. I rushed him to an animal hospital in Martin County, where X-rays revealed a severe break that required a specialist surgeon. He was referred to MedVet Jupiter for an urgent consultation and surgery.
During the consultation, we scheduled his surgery for Friday, February 21st. As a dachshund owner, I’ve always been extra cautious due to their risk of IVDD—Tucker only uses ramps, no jumping, no stairs—but unfortunately, accidents still happen. While I do have pet insurance, my annual reimbursement limit is only $2,500.
The total cost of Tucker’s emergency visit, surgery consultation, procedure, and hospital stay came to $7,292.33. After insurance, I am left with $4,792.33 out of pocket—this does not include future follow-ups, additional medications, or physical therapy that he’ll need for a full recovery.
If you know me, you know how much Tucker means to me. This little guy is my whole world. Given my current financial situation, I would be incredibly grateful for any support to help cover his medical expenses. Every donation, big or small, means the world to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any help you can give. ♥
With gratitude,
