Help Tselanee finish her last year of college!

Tselanee Wright (Little Tish) is the talented and tenacious daughter of Tselanee Wright (Tish), my former student in Brooklyn. These two women have never ceased to amaze me with their brilliance and persistance in the face of very challenging odds. Despite being a young single mother, Tish raised her daughter Little Tish in Brooklyn while finishing high school and two years of college herself. She has done everything she can to give Little Tish opportunities, helping her navegate New York City schools and complete three years of college at SUNY, Albany. This fall Little Tish should be starting her last year of college. She hopes to become a therapist. But the pandemic has jepoardized this plan. Tish has been able to keep her job with the city, but no longer has access to overtime hours. Even more devastating, with businesses shuttered she has lost her second income from bartending. She owes the university tuition from the 2019-2020 school year (about $12,000) and unless she can make a significant dent in this bill Little Tish will not be able to return to classes in the fall. It takes a village, people, and we are that village. Please contribute generously to make sure that the hard work of these two fabulous humans pays off. Let's help Little Tish finish school so that she can get out in the community and provide the mental health services so many people desparately need.
