Help TSAS rebuild their music program!
Hello! I'm Hector Torres, the new Music teacher at TSAS. This year we are shifting our music program from traditional jazz to contemporary music which will focus more on genre diversity and original songwriting. Out of the few instruments left here, only a portion is still salvageable. Because we are focusing more on guitars, bass, piano, and drums, these will be the instruments most in need along with amps and the many accessories that come with them. For each class, each student will have the opportunity to learn each of these instruments, but currently, there is only 1 acoustic guitar, 2 electric, 1 bass, and no electric drums which are vital for practicing without soundproofed rooms. Right now I have over 30 students in my 2nd hour, and over 15 in 4th hour. We are in dire need of gear. Typically, I need about 8 of each of those instruments, plus the ability to purchase new ones as the years go by. I have never started a gofundme so I am a bit nervous but there is just no other way to fund this program with the budget I was allotted. I am also taking donations for these instruments if you don't need them:
Acoustic and electric guitars/amps
Bass and bass amps
Keyboards
Silencing Headphones
Electric drums
Bass drum pedals
Guitar cables
Guitar stands
Piano stands
Tuners
Percussion instruments
Any amount you can donate will greatly aid our ability to grow our student's talents and foment a better and brighter artistic legacy for years to come. Thank you so much!
