My name is Brooklynn Adams and I am the loving daughter of Ken and Jessica Trunnell. My mom Jess, is a hard worker, most kindest woman I know. She will give her all for her family. She has always been the type to help EVERYONE out. My dad Ken, is a mechanic but also is the most loving, supportive, caring man I know.
As most of you may know my little brother Isaac is an example of a miracle. He was born at 29 weeks with an ecoli-infection and had 2 strokes in the Nicu. My mom and him were not supposed to live through the night. Isaac has cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, hydrocephalus and much more that is to just name a few. He’s had many obstacles in his life but fortunately been able to overcome a lot of them. He’s been through a lot no 13 year old boy should have to go through. Right now, he is at Children’s hospital in St. Paul. He is in a controlled shunt failure now. My dad and Isaac have been there for almost a week. He’s had one surgery and that was to externalize the catheter to the shunt. They then attached a bag to the end of the catheter. This will increase his ventricles safely for the 2nd surgery. They are closing the catheter tomorrow and all the fluid will stay in his Brain for his surgery Tuesday. He is in a lot of pain from throwing up, migraines, his vision being messed up, seizures, and now has stopped eating. It's all normal since they are doing a control shunt failure. Tomorrow he will be in a controlled total shunt failure and he will be extremely sick and in excruciating pain. On Tuesday they will put in a new shunt.
My dad Ken, has heart problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure and has been out of work this month and still has a few weeks to go. He has been diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis. My mom Jessica, is a EMT along with working her normal day job. Right now she is the only one working. Unfortunately due to my dad not working my mom needs to be home 3 hours away to work and not be with Isaac.
Any money will be donated so my mom is able to be with Isaac and my dad and take the time off work. Along with helping my dad since he is not working right now. This will help go towards gas, food, bills for the house, hotels they will need to stay at for multiple follow up appointments for the both of them. No amount is too little or too much and will be greatly appreciated.I They've never asked for help or handouts. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more. Thank you all, god bless you❤️ -Brooklynn
