Help Truman and his unborn son
Donation protected
Truman is my best friend. Over the years he stood by me through thick and thin. He lent me money to by a car. He believed in me when no one else would. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have the good life that I have now.
If you know Truman, my story probably sounds similar to you. Like Betty Lou, Truman always lent a hand to those he cared about.
Sadly, on Wednesday morning Truman was rushed to Grady. He suffered a pontine brain bleed and is on life-support. If he were to survive he would be paralyzed from the eyes down, require life-support, and a feeding tube. In the upcoming days, the family has decided to remove him from life-support. I ask that you please respect their decision and their privacy during this painful time.
If you didn't know, Corinne, Truman's girlfriend, is 21 weeks pregnant with his son. (Baby names on a list found at Truman's apartment include Brent or Percival.)
According to Georgia law, his unborn son is one if the rightful heirs to the estate, and this is where Truman needs you to lend a hand.
We need to hire a Phlebotomist to obtain a legal DNA sample and preserve it until his child is born. We need to do this to establish paternity in the eyes of the state.
We need a $5,000.00 retainer for the lawyer.
We also need help preserving the estate, and paying for Truman's final expenses. I will coordinate with his brothers' to ensure that is final wishes are met.
I'd like you all to take a moment and think of a found memory you have of Truman. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone he cared about. Now let's show him that we can all be like Betty Lou. Let's show him that we can lend a hand too.
(Note: Any additional funds raised will be given to the lawyer and put into a trust for his unborn son.)
Update: Corinne is back home and attending to the needs of her children. Nathalie Mason-Fleury has offered to provide fiduciary oversight for the donated funds. How the process will work:
I've added Nathalie as the beneficiary and the donations will be deposited to her
The family will provide contact information for services related to Truman's final expenses
I'll confirm the costs
Nathalie will send money to me
I'll pay for services and provide Nathalie with paid invoices
After everything is finished invoices will be sent to donors (if requested)
Any remaining funds will still be put in a trust for Truman's unborn son)
