New update: found a new queer friendly safe place after my "refuge" became dangerous. Still working on rebuilding. I'm working a volunteer job while seeking employment. Things aren't going well financially, but at least I am safe. This area isn't what I was told and it's not really as welcoming. Especially to trans people.

Update: arrived safe, but still working on getting all my paperwork done and my new IDs made. Food is a little more expensive here unfortunately. I have a few weeks until I'll be able to find a paying job. Under the table work is impossible to find here.

Original Post: It's always a difficult decision to leave a place that is your home. Sometimes, however, that decision is for your safety and sanity.

I'm looking for help raising the funds to move to a safe home in the Pacific Northwest. I'm going to be staying with my best friend to try to restart my life.

I had no idea it was so expensive to move cross country with belongings. After consulting my friends and weighing my options, I think this fundraiser is the best chance I have of alleviating a little of the financial damage.

I really appreciate you reading this. This is a very difficult time for me and knowing anyone cares goes a long way in helping me feel like I'm not alone.
