Help Troy Korber Battle RIME Disease

Hi - I’m a friend of Kim and Andy Korber. I am fundraising to help them with medical expenses.

In May, Troy came home from college feeling sick, tired, had brain fog, and other symptoms. Doctors could not figure out what was wrong after many tests. He spent the whole summer trying to boost his immune system at home and wasn’t able to work this summer. Troy went back to college for his junior year and things were going well until recently.

On Monday, October 21, Troy was admitted to the hospital with RIME disease due to Mycoplasma Pneumoniae. Basically, a type of pneumonia and the way his body responded by attacking his mucus membranes. (From the research the doctor did, there have only been 50 reported cases of RIME in the USA since 2002!) So, a very rare reaction to the type of pneumonia he has.

Please pray for Troy and family; Troy boy still has a long way to go! The road to recovery will take some time and return to college this year is uncertain. While they have insurance, it won’t cover all the medical costs and other expenses incurred. Any help you can provide to offset these expenses for the Korber family is greatly appreciated.
