Help Troy and Ashleigh Overcome Challenges

Hi all , my name is Hollie and I've known Troy and Ashleigh for many , many years. Unfortunately on September 4th, 2024 Troy was able to walk into the ER with back pain but unable to walk out as he ended up paralyzed from the chest down and was left with no use of his hands.

He was then transported by ambulance to a different location so that they could do a CT scan and MRI. The instant paralysis was the result of a bulging disc that ended up pinching his spinal cord 70% and is thought to have occurred when he went to get up out of the hospital bed.

They performed emergency surgery to remove the disc and fuse the vertebrae to remove the pressure on the spinal cord but with spinal injuries, it does not come back instantly and it is not guaranteed to come back at all, therefore he is still paralyzed from the chest down and no use of his hands today. We will not know for

6-12 months what movement is permanently gone.

He was intubated for about two weeks because this injury also affected his ability to breathe and cough on his own.

Troy is a fighter, he is off the ventilator now and breathing on his own. His family is just thankful he is still here with us today and hopes he can continue on the road of recovery ❤️‍

As we all know how hard it is asking for help , as Troy continues to fight, Ashleigh continues to work as much as she can, while continuing the upkeep of their home , medical bills , standard home bills and their lively hood.
