Trooper is my parents’ beloved dog, and he’s always been a source of joy and comfort for our family. Recently, Trooper had a terrible accident—he jumped off a boat, swam underneath, and was struck by the propeller. The injury was severe, cutting the tendons in his front leg and leaving him in urgent need of surgery at a specialist vet in Portland, Maine. Right now, Trooper is stable and receiving fluids at the Brewer Emergency Vet, but my parents are preparing to take him to Portland for the operation that could save his leg.

My parents, Kelly and Bob, are incredibly proud people who would never ask for help themselves. They’ve already made significant sacrifices for Trooper’s previous knee surgeries, and this new emergency has been both emotionally and financially overwhelming. They love Trooper deeply and are willing to do whatever it takes for him, but the costs are adding up quickly. I’m starting this fundraiser because I want to help ease their burden, even if it’s just a little bit. Any support, no matter the amount, would mean the world to my family and help Trooper get the care he needs to recover and keep bringing happiness to our lives.
