Help Trooper Cooper Recover from Diabetes
Donation protected
Cooper, now affectionately known as Trooper Cooper, is our 7-year-old shorkipoo who means the world to our family. He originally belonged to my mother and was her devoted support dog, showing her a level of love and loyalty I’ve never seen before. Three days before my mother passed away a year and a half ago, Cooper shifted his watchful, nonstop love to me, and he’s been by my side ever since.
In March, Cooper was diagnosed with diabetes, and soon after, he developed a life-threatening condition called DKA. He spent three days in the hospital fighting for his life, and while we’re grateful he pulled through, the medical bills have been overwhelming. Since coming home, Trooper Cooper needs insulin twice a day, special food, regular glucose checks, and constant monitoring to keep him healthy and comfortable.
The cost of Trooper Cooper’s emergency care and ongoing treatment has already occurred, putting a huge strain on our family. As a parent of four children, I already work several jobs just to keep us afloat, and I can’t physically or mentally take on more or spend more time away from home. I’m doing everything I can to make sure Cooper gets the care he needs, but the financial burden has made it difficult to keep up with everyday expenses and enjoy time together as a family. Trooper Cooper is more than just a pet—he’s a loyal friend and a source of comfort for all of us, especially my kids, who adore him.
We’re asking for help to cover Trooper Cooper’s vet bills and ongoing care so he can stay healthy and continue being a part of our family. Any support would mean the world to us and help ease the stress we’re facing. Thank you for considering a donation to help Trooper Cooper and our family during this difficult time.
