My name is Triza Pradhan, and I’m 15 years old. When I was a toddler my parents brought my 2 sisters and I to America from Nepal for a better future. As much as I appreciate all of the people and new opportunities America has given me I still miss Nepal and how connected I could’ve been to my culture.

Recently I applied to a program at my school to go to Japan and got accepted but I won’t be able to go if I don’t raise enough money for the plane ticket. This is an opportunity that I do not want to miss out on and being able to go back to Asia, a place I had to leave when I was so young would help me connect back to my roots a bit more. I would also love to travel and see the world so I truly do not want to miss out on this chance at exploring different cultures and exploring myself as well.
